PRINCIPAL
Principal Josmar Martinez Pavić originally from Caracas, Venezuela is a clinical child psychologist and has a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Regular and Special Education from the University of Kansas, (KU) USA. KU is recognized as having an outstanding program in this field.
(I put this sentence in a new line) She has worked abroad in different positions, including: school psychologist, early childhood curriculum developer, consultant for child care ( childcare goes together as one word) centers and preschool settings, case manager/early interventionist for young children with special needs and their families, and research assistant for internationally-recognized projects in the field of early childhood education.
Having successfully worked with culturally diverse children and their families for more than 25 years, Ms. Martinez Pavić is looking forward to offering a world-class education not only to the international community of Zagreb but also to Croatian children.
(I put this sentence in a new line) She strongly believes that to succeed in today’s global environment, students increasingly need to complement their academic learning experiences with cultural awareness and involvement that will allow them to understand and blend with different people, race and nationalities all over the world.
TLT staff
TLT staff members are qualified and experienced teaching professionals in Early Childhood Education and English as a Second Language.
Our professional staff will work with you and your child as they grow under our care. Our staff is convinced that making a difference in young children’s lives is only possible through a close parent-teacher partnership and loving, nurturing and inviting experiences.
We are fortunate to have an extremely low teacher turnover. The reason is simple – we take care of our team.

Facility and Location
TLT Facility
TLT kindergarten is housed in an adapted facility located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood in Zagreb, Croatia.
TLT facility is equipped with a high tech security system in order to guarantee a safe environment at our kindergarten.(see bellow **Safety System)
TLT location is very accessible by car or public transportation (TRAM line 14 Mihaljevac, BUS line 102 Britanski Trg – Mihaljevac).
TLT Playground
TLT kindergarten garden underwent a full landscaping to offer a more spacious and child friendly playground for TLT children. Given the beautiful surroundings and the pear, apple and cherry trees– the contracted architect decided to go with a ‘’NATURE INSPIRED” playground.. For more information see bellow ** TLT Playground
Safety System
TLT facility is equipped with a high tech security safety system in order to guarantee a safe environment at our kindergarten. The security system includes:
1. Doorbell with an intercom system at the front door.
2. Electric door to control interior door access.
3. Door closers.
4. Access control system and contactless keycards
Access control system and contactless keycards
Our access control system allows control outside access into the school. This technology is connected to the main computer in the school allowing us to monitor who enters and exits the school. We are also able to keep attendance and time records. If a card is lost or stolen, we can deactivate the card instantly from our main computer.
The main gate remains closed to the public, but key cards are distributed to school staff and parents. Enrolled parents can present their cards and enter the main gate. If the doorbell rings, the staff know it is someone not enrolled in the school.
The access card has the ability to read from inside a pocket, billfold or purse as long as the user gets the card within 5 centimeters from the card reader.
TLT Playground
TLT school garden underwent a full landscaping in summer 2011 to offer a more spacious and child friendly playground for TLT children.
In addition to the inviting playground equipment, our landscapers were able to preserve the school’s beautiful trees. Each season brings a new discovery and direct interaction with nature. Picking organic apples in the Autumn, cherries and pears during the Summer or just enjoying the gorgeouss blossoms during Spring bring our students closer to nature.
If you are familiar with Zagreb’s most favorite public park Bundek you will then understand parent’s comments “TLT playground looks like a small Bundek park…”
Playground equipment includes wooden swing sets, spring rider, fiber glass slide, wooden climber unit, sandbox and a hard surface area for wheeled toys and bicycles.
All Equipment is lead free, made out of first class cedar wood and professionally installed following European Standards EN 1177. These standards not only specify the material type, height and radius around the equipment but also the surfaces used in playgrounds.
Our shock-absorbent surfaces include:
1. Eco wood mulch
2. Pea gravel
3. Synthetic playground grass
4. Recycled rubber tiles
